I am not self-employed but thinking about it, can I take part?
Let’s talk about it!
Do I need good hiking equipment?
As we spend the weekend in a mountain hut – hike up there and have a longer hike on Saturday, at least good hiking shoes are required. Additional equipment depending on the weather is always a good idea.
How much does the weekend cost?
We try to keep the workshop-weekend as affordable as possible, as we know that money is an issue at the beginning of an own business. Our workshops are especially for young creatives at the beginning of their career. The costs are a mixture of the accommodation for two nights, train tickets, food and material for the workshop. Therefore we calculate all costs from the moment we know how many participants will take part and divide it through all of us. In the last three years the average was between 140–200 CHF.
I enrolled for the weekend, but unfortunately I cannot take part…
Oh what a pity, that we don’t meet each other in the mountains.
As we organised and calculated the costs of the weekend based on the number of participants we took your registrations as binding.
1.) If we haven’t booked the train and the accommodation yet, it’s a pity that we not meet each other, but not a problem, we can reimburse your registration fee.
2.) In case we already booked everything we have to charge you the costs for the accommodation and the train ticket.
3.) In case we already booked and bought the food, unfortunately we cannot return your registration fee.
What do I need for the weekend?
Hiking shoes, clothes, reusable water-bottle, something to write and an open mind. If you would need anything else we will let you know in advance. By the way laptops are not allowed during the weekend.
In which language are the workshops held?
We are an international network. Most of our workshops are held in German, but we like to discuss in both languages – English and German.
I am interested to contribute to the program!
We will have 2–3 input talks each ReDesign weekend. Mostly the speakers are contacted by us, but if you have an interesting topic you would like to talk about and discuss with the group, we are happy to hear from you.
Is it it only for designers?
It would be advantageous if you are a designer or come from a design related-field as Architecture, Design-Thinking or an other design-related discipline as our topics are located around design and being an independent creative.
