ReDesign – Walking is good for thinking provides a platform for ambitious creatives from different disciplines to exchange questions and ideas and to develop a vision for their future. The first event took place in autumn 2016 at Sämtisersee in the Swiss mountains – for the second event 2017 we hiked up to the Mülibachtalhütte in the beautiful Glarus Alps region. 2018 we spent a wonderful weekend at Naturfreundehaus Tscherwald above the stunning Walensee and climbed all the way up the top of Mattstock. 2019 we were lucky to spend one weekend in the beautiful Arche Ruchenberg with a stunning view on Lake Lucerne. 2021 we spent two days with students of the ZHdK and hiked up Uetli-Berg and along the river Limmat. 2024 we spent our first female edition in Itelfingen close to Lake Zug and stunning mount Rigi. 2025 we hostet the second female edition in a beautiful modern chalet close to Bürglen in the Canton of Uri.

Re-Design was founded by Lisa Marlen Austmann of bureau juli (Hamburg) and Sonja Zagermann (Zurich) in early 2016 to create a annual get-together with their international network of independent creatives. Lisa Marlen Austmann and Sonja Zagermann met during their Editorial Design studies at ZHdK in Zurich, Switzerland. Since then, they are connected by a close friendship and their love for design. Joint discussions on design as well as the experiences of self-employment are an integral part of their professional practice.

“Who you hang out with determines what you dream about and what you collide with. And the collisions and the dreams lead to your changes. And the changes are what you become. Change the outcome by changing your cirle.” – Seth Godin
